Spring Survey

To be completed soon after installing a new package of bees in the study hive.

This is the first part of a two-part survey examining the success of honey bee colonies in urban, suburban and rural environments.  To learn more about the goals of this survey please read our invitation letter: http://www.oardc.ohio-state.edu/bees/images/Ohio_Beekeepers_Cover_Letter.pdf

If you complete this survey you will be contacted again in mid-September and asked to complete a survey on the hive’s condition at that time.  Your participation in this research survey is completely voluntary and you may withdraw at any time without penalty.  Any information you provide through this survey will be considered confidential and will only be presented in a manner in which individual beekeepers and exact apiary locations are not identifiable.  If you have any questions or concerns about the survey please contact Doug Sponsler (sponsler.18@osu.edu, 614-233-1676) or Reed Johnson (johnson.5005@osu.edu, 330-202-3523).  For questions about your rights as a participant in this study or to discuss other study-related concerns or complaints with someone who is not part of the research team, you may contact Ms. Sandra Meadows in the Office of Responsible Research Practices at 1-800-678-6251.  We thank you for your participation!
